FLYING REVOLUTION is a full feature 90 min. documentary about the uprising of german breakdance crew 'Flying Steps' from Berlin – supported by Red Bull.

How did THE FLYING STEPS make it from the streets of Berlin to performing on the biggest stages in the world? After two sold out world tours and over twenty years of experience FLYING REVOLUTION shows the astonishing success story of FLYING STEPS which is not only about breakdancing but above all tells a story about dreams and the associated power to realize them.

Originally we planned the title sequence around the idea of visually breaking out of the concrete jungle of Berlin right onto the big stages of the world. In addition to this we worked us through dozens upon dozens of gigabytes of found footage: VHS, polaroids, newspaper articles, mobile recordings - you name it. The visual packaging was built around those historic documents and made sure the audience could grasp a glance of the international glory and positive attitude towards life that surrounds  the FLYING STEPS. For the final version of the title sequence we kept the core concept but changed the overall look and feel because it fit the story structure a little better. We still like the original version as well - which is why I am presenting it here.

It was a fun project and especially the Berlin premiere in front of hundreds of breakdance heads, family and friends of THE FLYING STEPS was an experience that will never be forgotten. Respect and a special shoutout to Steve Won wo trusted me on this one. FLYING REVOLUTION was screened worldwide on more than 20 film festivals in 2017 and 2018. It was shown around UCI cinemas in Germany in 2018 and was part of the Lufthansa entertainment program on all Lufthansa flights in 2018.

@Flying Revolution is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Google, Maxdome, Videoload and Videociety as well as on Blu-Ray.
